I understand being competitive. Really. Some people enjoy it. But what I don't get is how they can be allowed into every single pub match to stomp on the average player who just wants to have fun, earn ISK, and of course, SP.
What's the point of being such try-hards? Do they not work? Do they not have other hobbies? Do they even get up to urinate, or do they wallow in their battle stations and soil their makeshift undies with the DUST 514 logo scrawled on it with a sharpie?
I don't know how to say "Screw you, get a life." in Japanese, but if I did, it would be the first thing I scream as I flatten them with my Militia LAV. Seriously, it's the only was I was able to kill them. After about three kills this way, they pull out three Proto swarm launchers and fire them all at once. Their losses? Probably 100k ISK in proto suits. My loss? Like 15-20k ISK. Fellsgoodman.
Anyways, discuss. Rip me a new one, "HTFU", whatever, just don't stoop to their level.
They really aren't all that impressive....not even a little bit. In fact, why don't you email them and ask them about the severe ass whipping they took at the hands of The Neutral Zone on Tuesday night.
They have full proto gear, yes. They pack a powerful punch yes...but there are cracks in their methods. All you have to do is divide them and conquer them. They run gauged uplinks I'm 75% sure and they drop MANY of them and they drop them underneath their nanohives so you can't see them very well.
Take out the uplinks and divide them and they fall apart....and when you hand them a severe ass whipping when you're a corp full of some proto, but mostly advanced...that's saying something.
So I feel your pain...they've kicked my ass a bunch of times, but Tuesday night they got some comeuppance when 12 of us from The Neutral Zone steamrolled their asses haha +1 for the little guy ;) |

Lance 2ballzStrong wrote:honestly you just described most top corps Why use anything but proto? Hell, if you can use officer gear, use it, not like it matters much. People are billionaires in some of these corps.
So? lol a billion isk is a pretty easy thing to come upon. Multiple billions though, that's a little tougher :-/ |

But playing on there team, you can just watch them and see just how incredibly STUPID they are. But you also notice that they jump around the screen and teleport like crazy. Yes, they go super tryhard mode -but other corps do too- what makes them effective is LAG. When you have players squadded up from Mexico and Japan playing on an American Server... just who do you think that's going to benefit?
Second, the best way to beat them is use PROFILE DAMPENERS. Since I made the switch, it has been like night & day in difference against them. As soon as I get the prompt SCAN ATTEMPT PREVENTED I flank off the group. I watch those morons walk right past me. I've even walked right up to them within 1m and stood there... They are so dependent on the scanner. You pop out from behind a corner, you'll win, because they were to busy focusing on the orange glowing dots... That is if of course your bullets don't shoot through them like they are ghost because of the fact that they are 12,000 miles away.
Some nights, I'll check the playerlist before I spawn in , if Nyain San is on the other team (the actual tryhard members, not Brutal Brutus, Machete lopes, machine gun scrubs) I'll just simply find a different match to play in. Sometime I just don't want to deal with their bullsh*t, and actually have fun. Fighting them, as well as fighting through the garbage that is DUST 514 is not something that I'm always wanting to deal with.
My advice, until you get decent profile dampeners, don't play against them. Or don't play Ambush, because that's all they play, since they can't just spam Mass Drivers on Objectives anymore. Plus, Ambush gets you the SP the fastest.
Also, Since I play them so much, I notice they are the luckiest group of people I have ever seen. They always get the spawn system to work in there favor. They almost never get matched against a full squad on the other team(if they do, then they lose). And, I actually watch them farm WP for orbitals. They'll all stand on nanohives and shoot at nothing just to restock for WP. Or take splash damage from there own grenades to heal.
Did you see my post up ^ the way? Tuesday night....Nyain San across the board vs 12 of us from The Neutral Zone. Handed them their asses (not that, that is anything to brag about) just validating your point :D |
